About Anca Barsan-Cayro

For the last 11 years Anca has dedicated her life to the field of Psychology, having graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Psychology from Northeastern Illinois University and with a Masters Degree (Dual Major in Social Psychology & Clinical Mental Health Counseling) from Ball State University.

Her personal background in professional psychology is rooted in a plethora of diverse individual and group counseling, outreach programming, experience teaching mindfulness and facilitating group meditation, exposure to Ayurvedic teachings and spiritual counseling, research, and assessment experiences. Anca's approach to therapy is holistic and integrative, drawing from Interpersonal and Multicultural Therapies, Motivational Interviewing, CBT, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Therapies, Psychodynamics and Emotionally Focused Therapy for families and couples. 

Her particular passion with working with parents and children, assisting with developmental challenges, helping improve child-parent dynamics. 
She is also involved with the Center for Learning and Autism Support Service to provides comprehensive, educational and behavioral programs to children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other neurological and developmental delays. Anca lives in Los Angeles, California.
